Introduction
Welcome to the Little Lebowski Church. This handbook is a living document — a guide to how we gather, what we believe, and how we take it easy together.

Core Beliefs
We believe in the sanctity of ease, the practice of non-aggression, the value of community, and the long-term goal of a real place to abide — The Abiding Grove.

Foundational Teachings
Rooted in Taoism, Zen Buddhism, and the Dudeist tradition, our teachings center on wu wei (effortless action), impermanence, and the art of not being uptight about impermanence.

Ceremonies and Rites
We observe Dudeist holidays, conduct ordinations, hold memorial remembrances, and gather for bowling rites. Full ceremony guides arrive in a later epic.

Prayers and Affirmations
A collection of prayers for morning, evening, before a lane, after a loss, and on any day that needs some softening.

Liturgical Calendar
The church observes ten annual and monthly holidays — from The Abiding Day to the Winter Solstice of Rest. A full calendar lives at /church-calendar.

Community Covenant
Our shared agreements: show up with care, leave spaces better than you found them, extend good faith, and remember that the Dude abides.

Governance and Stewardship
The church is governed through its approved leadership and community processes. Member levels recognise participation but do not automatically purchase or determine governance power. The full governance structure is being developed alongside the Grove legal framework.
