Membership is free
Financial support is optional. A contribution does not purchase church membership or an Abide Level, and ending recurring support does not end church membership. Eligible verified financial support may earn Abide Coins under the same published, capped rules used by the platform; levels are calculated from verified lifetime Abide Coins rather than purchased directly.
How support is used
Contributions support the mission and approved work of Little Lebowski Church and The Abiding Grove, including community programs and events, land and stewardship work, infrastructure, operating costs, and other approved initiatives. A designation may communicate the supporter's preference, but stewardship and legal requirements may affect how funds are ultimately applied.
Tax-status and receipts
Contribution confirmations do not currently state that contributions are tax-deductible. Tax-status and receipt language will be updated only after the organisation's applicable status and policy are confirmed. Supporters should consult their own tax adviser about their individual circumstances.
Refunds and payment problems
Refund requests are reviewed case by case. Approved refunds, provider reversals, and chargebacks remain recorded in the financial ledger so the organisation can preserve an accurate audit history. If a linked member received financial Abide Coins from a contribution that is later refunded or reversed, the platform applies the corresponding coin correction through a linked ledger entry rather than deleting history.
Privacy and public recognition
Supporters may choose public anonymity. Payment and administrative records still retain the identity information needed for processing, fraud prevention, reconciliation, and legal or accounting obligations, while public recognition displays an anonymous label instead of the supporter's identity. Marketing consent is separate from payment confirmation.
Recurring support
Recurring support is a separate financial relationship from membership. Stripe supporters can use the customer portal to manage payment methods, invoices, and cancellation. Cancelling future renewal does not remove already-earned participation recognition or cancel church membership.
